This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers. Experience living on board and really get to know the boat. Virtually all the course is hands on. You are the crew - without you the sails won't go up and the boat won't be steered. By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day to day duties on board. You should also have visited some interesting places and had an enjoyable holiday.

Theory course about celestial navigation and world weather systems for skipper who wants to do an ocean passage. Using a GPS is good , but what are your options if your equipment or satellites does not work anymore ? Along the coast we can use radar or landmarks to find our position . On the ocean we can only use the heavenly bodies.
This is an advanced navigation course for more experienced skippers who has the ambition to sail on a professional level. The RYA/MCA Coastal/ Yachtmaster shorebased certificate is also your entry ticket to work professionally on yachts up to 24m.
